The scope of the workshop is to bring together a highly qualified group of people with interest in next generation public safety communication. The purpose is to share visions on the future of public safety communication systems, and to discuss initial results on innovative approaches to providing increased service quality and new services to the public safety field. The workshop also aims to include all stakeholders’ points of views, including the general public, practitioners, procurement, technology and service providers.

The workshop will highlight the on-going efforts in the area, complementing it with first practical implementations and demonstrations in this field. Besides the technical insights, the workshop will encourage the participants to discuss among each other.

The workshop is seeking papers for oral presentations, including user views, architectural visions, reports on novel technology and innovative services and papers which will be presented in poster sessions possibly accompanied with demonstrations or test-beds.

  • Feedback on trials and training sessions
  • Interoperability at radio, network or service levels
  • New radio systems and networks (broadband, Software Defined, Cognitive)
  • Rapidly deployable technologies for networks and services (including adhoc, satellite, …)
  • Innovative services for interoperability, security,…
  • Spectrum management policy and strategy
  • Sensor networks for public safety usages
  • Ontology, semantic technologies
